Los Angeles [US]: The CEO of Twitter has made his stand clear for elevated cyber-safety on the microblogging web site.
Taking to his official Twitter deal with, Elon Musk made it clear that accounts indulging in doxing, i.e., publically posting identity-related data, particularly of real-time places, can be penalized.
“Any account doxing real-time location data of anybody can be suspended, as it’s a bodily security violation. This contains posting hyperlinks to websites with real-time location data,” the Tesla CEO wrote.
“Posting places somebody travelled to on a barely delayed foundation isn’t a security downside, so is okay,” he added.
Customers tweeted replies in settlement to Musk’s transfer, deeming it to be an added security measure on the platform.
“Doxxing somebody’s real-life location isn’t free speech,” a consumer wrote.
