Mumbai: The Mumbai Police on Friday made seat belts obligatory for motorized vehicle drivers and commuters from November 1.
The Press Observe from the Joint Commissioner of Police Mumbai learn, “As per the motor automobiles (Modification), act, 2019, below 149 (b) (1) whoever drives a motorized vehicle with out a seat belt and carries passengers not carrying seat belts shall be punishable”. As per the press notice, a time interval until November 1, has been given to put in a seat belt facility for all commuters.
“All motorized vehicle drivers and all commuters within the automobile, whoever travels on the roads of Mumbai Metropolis, will probably be obligatory for all commuters and drivers to put on seat belts whereas travelling from November 1, 2022.
